Description of Service

Membership dues help fund programs and publications from the Conference of Inter-mountain Archivists (CIMA), plus sponsorship of the Journal of Western Archives. Being a member provides access to a regularly published newsletter and a reduced rate for the annual meeting. In addition, dues directly support the Steve Wood Scholarship Fund.

Donations to the Steve Wood Scholarship Fund enable CIMA to grant scholarships to several members each year, thereby building up a foundation of archival professionals in the region.

Event registration fees provide the bulk of income needed to organize annual meetings and state caucuses. Registration provides access to all or selected sessions, associated social activities, and conference program materials.

Refund/Cancellation

Please contact the Treasurer for any issues in payment, including a refund.

Force Majeure

The Conference of Inter-mountain Archivists shall be excused from any delay or failure in performance required hereunder if caused by reason of any occurrence or contingency beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of war, fire, insurrection, strikes, lock-outs or other serious labor disputes, riots, earthquakes, floods, explosions or other acts of nature.

Limitation of Liability

The Client acknowledges and agrees that the Conference of Inter-mountain Archivists will not be liable for any losses or damages, whether indirect, incidental, special or consequential, in profits, goods or services, irrespective of whether or not the Client has been advised or otherwise might have anticipated the possibility of such loss or damage.

No Guarantee

The client acknowledges and agrees that Conference of Inter-mountain Archivists cannot guarantee the results or effectiveness of any of the services rendered or to be rendered. Rather, services shall be executed in a professional manner and in accordance with good industry practice. Best efforts will be used but no results are promised.
