The 2025 Annual Conference will be held from May 1-3, 2025 in Boise, Idaho, at Boise State university's Albertsons Library.

Friday Repository Tours 

Idaho State Archives

Location: 2205 Old Penitentiary Rd, Boise, ID 83712 (3 miles from Albertsons Library; carpooling recommended)

Time: 4:30-5:30 PM

The Idaho State Archives (ISA) and Research Center provides public access to records of fiscal, administrative, legal, vital and long-term research value to the citizens and government of Idaho. Archives staff will provide a behind-the-scenes tour of the repository and discuss highlights from the collection.


Boise State University Special Collections and Archives

Location: Albertsons Library 

Time: 4:30-5:30 PM

Located on the same floor as the conference, visit Boise State’s Special Collections to see highlights from the collections and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the archival storage area.


Basque Museum and Cultural Center

Location: 611 W Grove St, Boise, ID 83702 (20 minute walk from Albertsons Library)

Time: 4:30-5:30 PM

Take a tour of this unique museum to learn about the history of the Basque people in the western United States as well as the museum’s archival collections.

Saturday Repository Tours

Preservation Idaho Walking Tour of Downtown Boise

Location: Meet in front of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, 611 W Grove St, Boise, ID 83702

Time: 10:00-12:00 pm

Join Preservation Idaho’s experienced docents for a 90-minute, 1-mile guided tour through 150 years of history and architecture. They will introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place. From Basque sheepherders to political power players and local sandstone to Egyptian hieroglyphs, this tour makes Boise history come alive.

Cost: $15 per person (no limit)

IdaHistory Boise True Crime Motorhome Driving Tour

Location: Meet at the East Plaza Parking Lot located in front of  Albertsons Library

Time: 10:00-12:00 pm

Dive into the chilling past with the Boise True Crime 1970s Motorhome Tour. This tour will take you to the very spots in Boise where some of the most terrifying, shocking, and brutal crimes unfolded. While some of these sites and stories are still widely known, others have quietly slipped into obscurity over the years.
