The Program Committee Co-Chairs recently sent out the call for session proposals for our joint annual meeting next May 17-19, 2017 in Boise, Idaho. To make it easier for like minds to connect, we’re offering up this Google spreadsheet where you can share your session proposal ideas, and see who might be interested in joining your panel.

Call for Proposals for CIMA/NWA Joint Meeting 2017

The program committee for CIMA/NWA is currently accepting proposals for the 2017 joint annual meeting, to be held in Boise, Idaho on May 17-19, 2017. Please see the Conferences page for more information on the conference and submission process. We are seeking both session and pre-conference workshop proposals. CIMA 2016 Registration Now Open

Registration for the 2016 CIMA annual conference in Ogden, Utah is now open!

You may submit your registration form and conference payment fees from this year’s CIMA Conference web site: https://sites.google.com/a/nau.edu/cima2016/home

The early-bird registration deadline ends on Monday, April 11th.

This website also contains registration information and links for the conference hotel, where and how to register for the SAA pre-conference workshops, as well as additional program and tour information for this year’s conference.

Call for Poster Session at CIMA 2016

CIMA invites both graduate students and archives professionals to submit proposals for posters to be presented at the annual meeting in Ogden, Utah on May 11-14, 2016. Posters selected by the Program Committee will be on display in a dedicated space at the conference venue. Presenters are required to be with their poster during the assigned session time to answer questions regarding their poster from attendees. Please use your our online submission form to submit your proposal by Friday, March 4, 2016. http://goo.gl/forms/UspkoEypLJ

Posters may focus on aspects of:

  • Collection development, collaboration and/or cooperation
  • Reference, instruction, and outreach activities
  • Assessment
  • Fundraising and resource allocation
  • Innovation
  • Digital Preservation and Archiving
  • Archives management
  • Archival education and mentoring

Other potential poster topics might be: collections of interest, reports on archives and records projects that you or your institution have worked on, and building projects.

Poster dimensions: 32 inches by 40 inches (may read vertically or horizontally). Additional information on poster design and specifics will be provided once your poster session has been accepted.

Students may apply for the Steve Wood scholarship to fund travel and registration at the conference.

The Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists (CIMA) 2016 Annual Meeting will take place from May 11-14, 2016 in Ogden, Utah at the Courtyard Marriott. There will be more information on hotel accommodations in the coming weeks – so please stay tuned!

ArchivesSpace User Group Meeting at the Western Roundup

Registration is open for a ArchivesSpace User Group pre-conference meeting, to be held at the Central Library of the Denver Public Library in downtown Denver from 12:00-5:00pm on Wednesday, May 27th, the day before Western Roundup begins. The Central Library is within walking distance of public transportation as well as the conference hotel
