The University of Nevada, Libraries is recruiting for a dynamic and resourceful Processing Archivist (Archivist 2) to join the Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) department. This position will lead the archival processing functions of the SCUA department, process archival materials using a variety of tools and software, contribute to policy and procedure development, monitor and advocate for best practices, appropriate standards and laws, and supervise the work of others. This position will be responsible for reviewing and establishing intellectual and physical control of a wide range of archival materials, collaborating to ensure that materials are discoverable and accessible, and protecting materials and preparing them for use. The Processing Archivist will also participate in the public services functions of the department by staffing the service desk and participating in departmental outreach activities.
