The J. Willard Marriott Library seeks a full-time, tenure-track Reference Librarian for Special Collections. The position will supervise all levels of reference service in the Special Collections Division, as well as conducting outreach for Special Collections including serving as liaison to University faculty, conducting classes and seminars on demand for students describing the research process, using primary sources, collections and topical presentations on primarily historical subjects, providing orientation to student and University personnel about Special Collections, creating and conducting presentations about the collections and history, and reading for members of the greater community, notably for local school children. This position oversees the department’s MUSE intern, museum certification, and other university-based internship programs and coordinates the non-university internship and volunteer requests. In addition, this position serves as collection development consultant for Special Collections and the general library in various subjects as qualified. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
