The Church History Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has immediate need for a Church History Specialist to support the Consultation Services Team in the Church History Library Public Services area. Responsibilities include communicating and interacting on site and remotely with researchers, general Church leaders and departments, and other patrons to help develop and support research strategies, guidance, and instruction to materials in the Church History Library collections. This person will need to have a well-developed subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Church history to assist in reference and research projects. As the Church History Library expands its ability to assist leaders and members world-wide, new challenges will arise. This person will help develop processes to meet these needs.
Applicant must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
Must also hold a Masters degree in history, library science, archival studies, or other related information field and five to seven years experience.
