The CIMA Newsletter is getting a face-lift and is being re-launched for 2010. There will be many changes and enhancements with this newly revamped publication. And, you can be a part of it, because a standing call for articles has been issued. The next publication of the CIMA Newsletter will be January 1, 2010.
The deadline for submissions for the exciting new issue of the CIMA Newsletter is December 1, 2009. Submissions of articles, news items, and photographs are accepted from the public at large, and are considered for publication.
The CIMA Newsletter is a quarterly electronic journal, published for the members of the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists (CIMA). A subscription to the CIMA Newsletter is included with a paid CIMA membership. New issues will be published on the 1st day of January, April, July, and October next year. All new regular issues are sent via e-mail to current CIMA members on those dates. A printed version of the current issue will be provided to any current member upon request.
In the coming months, one of the exciting changes to look out for, will be the introduction of a SPECIAL EDITION of the CIMA Newsletter. The special printed issue will be published and ready for distribution at the 2010 Western Round-Up in Seattle, Washington.
For this special edition, we are asking all CIMA related institutions to submit articles reviewing their accomplishments and activities over the past five years (since the last Western Round-Up in Las Vegas). We want to update our friends and colleagues, by taking a look back over the past few years. Photographs will be especially appreciated.
The deadline for submissions for next year’s SPECIAL EDITION is February 1, 2010.
