CIMA Special Election Now Underway

In accordance with CIMA by-laws, the CIMA Council has ordered a special election in the month of October to approve a single ballot initiative that would allow the creation of a new voluntary Life-Time Membership option for the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists. The fee for this new Life-Time Membership would be perpetually equivalent to 10 times the annual membership fee. The initial Life-Time Membership fee would be $150.00. After paying this one-time fee, a CIMA member would be considered a member for life, with all the rights and privileges of a full CIMA membership. New life-time members will receive a certificate acknowledging their life-time status.

The deadline for submitting a ballot for the special election is October 31, 2009. If approved, the CIMA Life-Time Membership option would be available for the 2010 calendar year.

The ballots have been sent out via e-mail to all CIMA members. If you have not received your ballot, please contact Walter Jones to renew your membership, or to update your contact information.

The CIMA ballots may be sent electronically via e-mail to John Murphy, CIMA Secretary, or mail to:
