October is American Archives Month

Several archival organizations around the country are celebrating American Archives Month in October. This is an opportunity to raise awareness about the value of archives — and archivists.

CIMA is co-sponsoring the official state of Nevada 2009 Archives Month poster. The CIMA logo appears in the lower left-hand corner, and the poster has been distributed throughout Nevada.

The Society of American Archivists (SAA) is also offering a 2009 American Archives Month Public Relations Kit, providing basic materials that will help make your archives program more visible and appreciated.

If your institution is doing something to celebrate American Archives Month, please let us know by e-mailing Michael Frazier, CIMA President.
